How do I create a Skeem account?

An account is represented by an email address, and allows you to create and manage video projects. Within this account, you can create organisations that will let you to manage and categorise projects.

How do I change my Skeem account settings?

Go to your Skeem dashboard at app.skeem.io. In the menu bar, click your name at the top right. In the drop-down menu, click ‘My account’. A window will open. Click ‘Account settings’ to display all the editable fields of your account. Make the desired changes and click ‘Save’.

How do I log in to my Skeem account?

Go to skeem.io. Once the page has loaded, click ‘Log in’. Enter your email address and password and click ‘Log in’.

How do I create a new "organisation"?

Go to your Skeem dashboard at the address. In the menu bar, click ‘Dashboard’ at the top left and then ‘Create a new organisation’. Enter the required fields and click ‘Continue’. Your new organisation will appear at the bottom of your dashboard.

What is an organization?

An organization represents a structure (company, association, freelancer, etc.) Within each organization, you can manage and classify the organization's projects. Your Skeem account is attached to your email and therefore to you. However, you can also work for or with other organizations. That's why your dashboard lets you find all the projects you're involved in, sorted by organization.

What is a profile?

Your profile represents you personally on the application. The parameters you specify (name, first name, avatar, function) are used by the application to represent you in the places where you act.

How do I change my profile settings?

Go to your Skeem dashboard. In the menu bar, click on your name in the top right-hand corner. In the drop-down menu, click on My account. A window opens, click on my profile to display all the editable fields in your account. Make the desired changes and click Save.

How do I delete my Skeem account?

The User may terminate his account at any time by sending an e-mail to support@skeem.io with the subject "Skeem account termination".

How do I delete an entire track?

To delete an entire track, you must first select the desired track by positioning your cursor over it. Please note that the cursor must not be placed on a stage. Once this has been done, a garbage can icon appears to the left of the track when you hover over it. Click on the trash icon. The track is then deleted.

How do I request validation from a customer?

From the timeline, to request validation of a stage from a client, click on the validation extension. Its contents will be displayed. Then click on the Request validation button. An email notification is sent to each customer so that one of them can validate the stage. You can request validation as many times as you like.

How do you associate a validation stage with a brick on the production schedule?

From the timeline screen, click on Edit timeline, on the right above the timeline. This takes you into edit mode. Position yourself on the desired brick and click on the 3 parameter points. In the drop-down menu, click on Associate a validation stage. Finally, you can adjust its duration in the same way as a conventional brick.

How do you eliminate a production stage?

From the timeline screen, click on Edit timeline, on the right above the timeline. This takes you into edit mode. Position yourself on the desired brick and click on the 3 parameter points. In the drop-down menu, click on delete. Your production stage is now deleted.

How do I modify a production stage?

To change the name of a production stage

From the timeline, to rename a production stage, click on Edit timeline, on the right above the timeline. This takes you into edit mode. Position yourself on the desired stage and click on the 3 setting points. In the drop-down menu, click on stage parameters. In the pop-up window, edit the text field entitled Stage name. Click on the Validate button at the bottom right of the menu. Your production stage is now renamed.

To change the duration/date of a production stage via the menu

From the timeline, to modify the duration of a production stage, click on modify timeline, on the right above the timeline. This takes you into edit mode. Position yourself on the desired stage and click on the 3 setting points. In the drop-down menu, click on stage parameters . In the pop-up window that appears on the screen, change the dates using the calendar below the choose duration field. Once you've completed these tasks, click on the Validate button at the bottom right of the menu. Your production stage is now positioned on the desired dates.

To change a production stage icon

From the timeline, to rename a production stage, click on edit timeline, on the right above the timeline. This takes you into edit mode. Position yourself on the desired stage and click on the 3 setting points. In the drop-down menu, click on stage parameters . In the pop-up window that appears on the screen, change the menu to choose an icon. Click on the Validate button at the bottom right of the menu. The icon for your production stage has now been modified.

To change the production stage color

From the timeline, to rename a production stage, click on edit timeline, on the right above the timeline. This takes you into edit mode. Position yourself on the desired stage and click on the 3 setting points. In the drop-down menu, click on stage parameters. In the pop-up window that appears on the screen, change the menu item " Choose color ". Click on the Validate button at the bottom right of the menu. The color of your production stage is now modified.

How do you create a production stage?

From the timeline, to create a production stage, click on , on the left above the timeline. Once the pane has been enlarged, click on edit at the top right of your screen. Position yourself on the brick of your choice (customizable or predefined) and "grab" it with the left click of your mouse. Hold down the button and move the selected brick to the desired position on the timeline. Release the left mouse button and the brick will drop.

What is a predefined brick?

A predefined brick is a brick defined by default from the point of view of the production stage. For example, the editing brick is a customizable video brick that has been renamed editing.

What is a customizable brick?

There are 3 customizable bricks: Media brick: with video, audio or image content. Content is reviewable. File brick: you can add all kind of content, but you cannot review the content. The file brick works like a drive. Text brick: Here you can copy and paste text. Text is reviewable.

What is a brick?

The bricks represent a production stage. They can be used from a library of bricks available from the timeline in editable mode.

What are the different timeline display modes?

Your production schedule can be visualized as a timeline, a calendar (feature coming in 2022) and a Gantt chart (feature coming in 2022). The schedule is always edited in the form of a timeline. Once saved, the schedule can be viewed in the various modes. To do this, from the timeline, click onExpand. The timeline unfolds to open the editing page. In the top right-hand corner, click on the icon corresponding to the desired viewing mode: Timeline, Chart, Calendar...

What's the timeline for?

The timeline is the tool that lets you create, modify and share your schedule using the bricks provided. The timeline is also the center of your application, allowing you to navigate between the bricks and access the entire production.

How to discuss a specific stage?

From the Discussions of a step, click in the text field Writing... at the bottom of the tab Discussion. Once you have completed your message, click on Send. You can then alert participants by email by clicking on Notify project members. This discussion only concerns the stage in question and is not linked to the various media, unlike annotations.

How can I chat with project participants?

In a project, you can have general discussions with all the participants. Click on the "chat bubble" icon at the top right of the screen. A chat window opens. Click in the Write... text box at the bottom of the tab. Once you've completed your message, click on Send.

How do I annotate a text file?

From a step's " comment " screen, use the mouse cursor to sweep over the text area to be annotated, keeping the left mouse button pressed down. When you have finished selecting the text, release the left mouse button. Fill in the text field in thecomment window that has just appeared on screen. Click on send to validate your comment. How do I annotate an audio file?

From a stage's " comment " screen, select the audio track. Position the cursor on the audio track where you wish to make your comment. Fill in the text field in thecomment window that has just appeared on screen. Click on send to validate your comment. You then have the option of emailing participants by clicking on Notify project members.

How do I annotate a video file?

From the " comment " screen of a stage, position the video at the moment you wish to make your comment. Position your mouse cursor where you wish to annotate, then click the left mouse button. Fill in the text field in thecomment window that has just appeared on screen. Click on send to validate your comment. You then have the option of emailing participants by clicking on Notify project members.

What happens when I click on a step in the timeline?

Clicking on a stage in the timeline selects the brick and displays a preview of the production stage content. A scrollbar allows you to navigate around it. You can view texts and images, and play videos and audio tracks. You cannot annotate or start a thread. To switch to comment mode, click on the Annotations button in the top right-hand corner.

How do I invite a member to a project?

From your dashboard, click on the Settings menu in the top right-hand corner of your project block. In the drop-down menu, click on Members. A window opens: click on the Add a member button in the top right-hand corner. Select from the list of known users or fill in the required field. (Don't forget to choose the role of the member you're inviting). Finalize by clicking on send invitation(s).

How do you determine the role of a project participant: Creator or Customer?

To define the role of a project participant, go to your dashboard and click on the Settings icon in the top right-hand corner of the project card, then click on Participants. A list of project participants is displayed: in the right-hand column, each person's role is specified, accompanied by a parameter menu (3-point menu). Click on the "3-dot menu" of the role to be modified, then choose the appropriate role.

What is the role of a project participant?

The Skeem platform makes the difference between service providers and customers. This makes it possible to offer two distinct profiles that give access to the same projects, but with a different interface: Creatives organize schedules and request approvals, while customers provide feedback and approval. Creas and customers can discuss, exchange and annotate media .

How do I close a project?

Go to your Skeem dashboard and click on the Settings menu in the top right-hand corner of your project card. In the drop-down menu, click on Delete project. A window opens, asking if you really want to delete the project: Click on Permanently delete project.

How do I create a new project?

Go to your Skeem dashboard and click on Create a project. Make sure you create a project in the right organization if you have more than one.

What is a project?

A project represents a video production project. It's defined by the name of the project, the name of the customer (or, more broadly, the project sponsor) and an organization timeline that lets you manage the production schedule. It has a start date, an end date and can contain an infinite number of films. All your projects are presented and accessible from your dashboard.

What's the dashboard for?

Your dashboard is the home of your Skeem platform. It's available on app.skeem.io and gives you a global view of your video project management. It presents your organizations, your projects and the status of all your video productions.
